HUNTINGTON –  An agreement was signed in Huntington this morning at the Mountwest Cooking and Culinary Institute.Members of Mountwest Community and Technical College signed an educational covenant with the U.S. Army.

The agreement lets military personnel apply their training skills to earn college credit at the school.

It is the first covenant between the Army and a college in the United States.

Now, service members can have a jump start on their college degrees after their tours of duty.

The school offers associate degrees in various areas of applied skills.
