The application deadline for May 2011 graduation has been extended to Thursday, March 31st. The application may be obtained from the advising center and the $20.00 fee paid at the Cashier Office.
No extension or exceptions will be made past this deadline.

HUNTINGTON — A new partnership between Mountwest Community and Technical College and Ohio University has been designed to enhance the accessibility and affordability of obtaining a bachelor’s degree for Tri-State students.

West Virginia’s community and technical colleges are signing on to a worthwhile mission, one that not only could benefit them with higher enrollments but also improve the state’s economic future.
On Monday, Mountwest Community and Technical College in Huntington signed an agreement to participate with the state’s nine other community and technical colleges in the College Completion Challenge

MCTC Student Services
The program provides scholarship funds to women ages 40 and older seeking new job skills, training, and educational opportunities so they will be more financially secure as they age. The Women’s Scholarship Program is available to eligible individuals with limited financial resources.
Book Vouchers for Spring 2011 will be available Monday, January 3, 2011 at the MCTC Cashier Window.
Important Book Voucher Reminders:
- Students must have sufficient, authorized financial aid available on their account to be eligible for a book voucher.
- Student’s must present their MCTC Student ID when picking up their paper book voucher.
Tuesday December 21, 2010 will be the deadline for paying tuition for the Spring 2011 semester.
Advance Registration for Currently Enrolled Students begins on November 8 at 8:00am.
Open Registration for all Admitted Students begins November 22 at 8:00am.
Note: Web Registration (myMCTC) is available 24 hours daily during designated registration periods. The following groups of students are not eligible to register online: All first-time undergraduate students, students on Academic Probation and any student with less than 24 earned credit hours. Registration may occur in person at the Advising Center in the Mountwest CTC building, lower level, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Important: Students with outstanding financial and/or academic holds will be denied registration until such holds have been resolved.
If students want to be considered for December 2010 graduation, they must go to the Advising Center located in the Basement of the CTC Building and complete an application for graduation. They must also pay the $20.00 graduation fee at the Cashier’s window.
